Where do I begin? My husband often says the BRC saved our family. When my daughter was 5 weeks old we stumbled into the BRC in tears seeking help for a number of issues we were having. We left feeling hopeful and supported. The BRC sent a letter to our doctor with the details of what was discussed. We spent at least 1.5 hours during a consultation going over every detail of our breastfeeding experience (a lactation consultant watched a feeding and everything)! The professionalism and compassion was amazing. Since then I have attended weekly support groups at the BRC. These groups are attended by Moms just like myself and also a lactation consultant. It is because of this group I have continued to breastfeed my now 7 month daughter. There were many weeks early on that this was the only place I went! I have made lifelong friendships at the BRC and am forever grateful for the support that has been shown to my family.
