Review for Mata Amritanandamayi Math, Kerala, , India

Rating: 5 stars

I have been personally involved with the MA Math in two ways. 1) We raised $250,000 for the Tsunami from Michigan and I toured S. India and personally saw the work that was being done. I actually took slides and interviewed people and have videos. I came back and showed it to the people who donated the monies. 2) I have helped the AIMS hosptial a heavily subsidized hospital in Cochin, India achieve an ISO 9001 quality certificate. I personally saw the work being done there to help and subsidize the poorer sections of the population. I am very impressed with the large amount of volunteer staff they have actually doing the work both in the Tsunami area and also in the hospital. There are a large number of Americans involved including the Medical Director Mr. Ron Gottsegen. There story and the huge amount of charitable work will inspire you. I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the large number of volunteers who are serving the poor and needy. In the Tsunami the head of the University and several Professors were personally leading the charge. The Head of the Hosptial are both Americans who volunteering their time.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Ask them to promote themselves more. They are not lettign people know about what they are doing.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Personally motivated peoople who are the ones really leading the charge. Many of them are giving their personal time.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Cheerful, friendly, and charged to help others.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

They would build more free homes. They would give many more free medical services.

Ways to make it better...

I cannot think of anything.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

I am impressed by them overall
