When I first arrived at the farm, I expected to shovel poop a couple of times, be forgotten, and then not come back. It's been almost 2 years since I first arrived and I haven't regretted a minute spent there. Between the bright, sweet volunteers, the gentle and genuinely entertaining animals, and all of the projects going on - there's no reason not to keep coming. It's easy to get carried away doing chores, starting new projects, finishing old ones, especially since it benefits so many animals. Even if you only come for a visit, you'll find someone (be it a critter or a person) that stays with you, long after you pass through the big red gate at the end of the driveway.
