Review for Green Beret Foundation, Montgomery, TX, USA
The Green Beret Foundation has done so much for me and my family that these words I am about to use severely underscore their role in helping mend not just my wounds but my families as well. As a Green Beret going through Medical Retirement from PTSD and multiple TBI's over my 20+military career, I call this organization a blessing for me. They continually support the "Brotherhood" in any way possible. My wife is a Member of the Steel Magnolias and they have welcomed her with open arms including her in my recovery and providing guidance and assistance continually. The GBF funded Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy for myself due to the fact that TRICARE does not cover it. They have also chosen to sponsor me on my new "Life Goal" of adding my name to the list of Americans who have succesfully climbed the 7 Summits (Kilimanjaro, Aconcagua, Vinson, Everest, Denali, Elbrus and Carstenz). My first attempt is next month where I will make an attempted summit of Kilimanjaro, and I wouldn't be able to do this without their financial and moral support. Even though I may have been wounded and deal with daily obstacles of living, I am not conquered, and the GBF has helped me realize that!!!
