My Nonprofit Reviews

Ammashyamala
Review for Mata Amritanandamayi Math, Kerala, , India
My experience actually involves a fellow volunteer who I will call Ben. We have volunteered together, worked hard together and have shared our spiritual meetings together, (satsang). Ben has always given of himself completely and walks away from every project with a smile. Last Sunday Ben donated some money to our Mother's Kitchen project and we then began our satsang. As part of the satsang we took turns reading from a spiritual book. Ben reported that during this reading he's somehow began to understand more completely the legacy we are involved in when we volunteer. He told me that he realized it has always been those who volunteer to help others who have bettered the world. He said that he now understood more clearly that this legacy has been handed down to him. It seemed to be a powerful thing for him to realize his place in the world. I chose to relate this experience because it illustrates how volunteering elevates the volunteer. Through Amma's Projects we have helped many people. We get the pleasure of being able to see how valuable it is to people when we share a little bit of love. But, we also get the pleasure of seeing how sharing that love benefits each of us as well.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
....my every breathing moment. Since it is a volunteer organization, no one gets paid. All money goes to serve the needy or to help the environment ect. Amma says her religion is Love. This service is Love. To be in the company of Love is a very the great
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
Streaching myself out of my old closed life.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
Always making their best effort to serve. That honest effort is beautiful.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
...help people who deserve to live lead less miserable lives. It would provide resourses to give hope for a livable future.
