Review for Brain Rehabilitation And Injury Network (B.R.A.I.N.), Cypress, CA, USA
I was invited by a friend to help volunteer at B.R.A.I.N. not knowing much about the organization. From the second I walked through the doors I knew this was the place I wanted to invest my time to help others. My Grandmother suffered a stroke about 4 years ago, and again another one just a week ago. The time I spend at B.R.A.I.N. volunteering has also helped me with understanding my Grandmother's brain injury and being able to better meet her needs. This organization does an amazing job at educating as well as providing resources for those who are looking for answers or who have suffered a brain injury. Each week, seeing the survivors in the weekly F.B.I. meetings, and the hope and drive to not be limited by their brain injury, is one of the most rewarding and humbling parts of my week. The empowerment this organization gives to those who have suffered a brain injury, or have loved ones who did is truly something special that can't be experienced by reading a review. So come check them out. You will not regret your decision to volunteer, donate, or come for information and support if you have suffered a brain injury. I love this place!
