Review for Federation Employment Guidance Service-Closed for Operations, New York, NY, USA
Since I've been out of work, FEGS provided me with one-on-one career counseling, job search classes, access to their computer lab and job search postings and support. My counselor, Tammara Moore, has given me constructive and innovative job search advice and sharpened my search skills. She also has vastly strengthened my resume. She is energetic, dynamic and enthusiastic, and genuinely cares about her clients. I have taken classes with FEGS which have helped improve my interviewing skills, networking capabilities, knowledge of LinkedIn and other internet based job search tools. I also have attended working group sessions that have provided me with leads and tips from others who are searching for jobs. And all of this was for free! Importantly, through FEGS, I met a small group of people with whom I've joined to exchange job search advice and offer support. This is in keeping with FEGS overall mission.
