Review for Areyvut, Bergenfield, NJ, USA

Rating: 5 stars

My 2009 Summer Internship at Areyvut was an experience I will carry with me for the rest of my life. At Areyvut I acquired so many professional and life skills. Areyvut taught me the values of Chessed (loving kindness), Tzedakah (charity), and Tikun Olam (bringing the world together). I developed programming for Bar and Bat Mitzvah students, wrote business letters and memos, partook in meetings, and made contacts with other NPO's. Every week we visited another organization and spoke with program directors. Each intern truly felt the value of their efforts, and knew they made positive contributions to the world on a daily basis. Areyvut opened doors within myself that I never knew existed and for that I will forever be grateful.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

warm environment.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

very helpful and energetic.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

create lasting programming to help all types of peoples.

Ways to make it better...

I didn't have such a long commute.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?
