Review for Brain Rehabilitation And Injury Network (B.R.A.I.N.), Cypress, CA, USA
B.R.A.I.N offers weekly meetings, every Tuesday from 5pm to 7pm and the group is called "Friends of Brain Injury" or F.B.I. for short. F.B.I. is a community service group that is open to any adult who has sustained a brain injury. This includes a head injury from a car accident as a child, a snowboarder, an aneursym, a stroke or a cardiac arrest resulting in anoxia. It is run by a licensed Speech Language Pathologist along with many volunteers from local universities.
The focus of the group is to learn about what happens after your neurological event, resources in the community and ways to incorporate your skills into helping others. It’s motto is to teach you to have fun and not to live life alone. It is not a support group or a therapy session. Come and check it out. You will be glad you did!
