Review for The Center for Family Resources, Marietta, GA, USA
I would like to nominate The Center for Family Resources (CFR) in Marietta, Georgia because they have an extensive program that actually helps people transition. They helped my daughter when I could no longer offer her shelter because I stayed with someone. They gave her an apartment, completely furnished with new side items like dishes, bathroom items, sheets, etc. I mean they provided all the things you need to live when you have absolutely nothing to begin. They provided day care, job counseling, clothing vouchers and were just very supportive. There are probably other programs like this on but I have not come across any. This program allowed you to be sheltered in a non-sheltering way, it allowed you to feel like you were doing it on your own. Sometimes women coming out of bad situations feel stigmatized and have emotional problems when made to feel like they are helpless. This program makes you empowered! Thank God for them!
