I learned about ALLV from a friend and when I retired in 2009 I attended a membership tea and was hooked. The committee that caught my attention was Operation School. Children from Title One School were transported by school bus to the facility and were given the opportunity to pick brand new clothes for school. A lot of them had never been able to shop for new school clothes. "Hand me downs" were more often than not what they had.
The smiles and the thank you's were enough to melt your heart. I have held a couple of positions on the Board and this year I have had the pleasure of being President. Covid has made last year and this year a challenge, but it has not stopped us from from moving forward and do what we do best "Transforming lives and Strengthening the Community"

I have been a member of ALLV since 2009. I have met the most caring and devoted women. We have dresed over 8,100 children in 2011 thru Operation School Bell. Make a Difference Day we collected over 37,000 books to be delivered to Clark County Schools. I am very proud to work with such a dedicated group of women. They are trying to make a better life for these children to aspire to.
