This organization is a wonderful reminder to our troops that America still remembers and cares that they are overseas in harm's way. When one of our troops receives one of our boxes, they not only receive a little bit of home, but they realize that even though they are halfway around the world, we here at home have not forgotten about them. They not only love all the goodies that are jam-packed into each care package, but they especially love the letters/notes written to them by adults as well as children (the ones from the children are especially appreciated!) The volunteers that work here are so committed and devoted to those that serve. It's a wonderful place to volunteer because you actually see the fruits of your labor.... we have had many soldiers/Marines actually come in for a visit to thank us for their package. When they come in, we announce to everyone that there's a Hero in the House! It' just an awesome organization!
