Review for Oldies But Goodies (OBG) Cocker Rescue, Arlington, VA, USA
Volunteering with OBG has changed our lives for the better. We adopted our first cocker from them 4 years ago and enjoyed the experience so much that we decided to try fostering. Our first foster came in with severe eye, ear, and skin infections. Not to mention horrible separation anxiety. We couldn't believe how much work he was, but the effort was so worth it to watch him transform into a healthy, happy dog. And the support we got from other fosters and volunteers in the organization was just awesome. Whenever we had a question about where to take him for care or how to deal with a health issue, there was another volunteer to turn to for answers. We are always amazed at how organized OBG is and how much care they give to these dogs before adopting them out. OBG does an amazing amount of good with limited resources and an all-volunteer team. After 15 fosters and counting, we feel so lucky to have found such a wonderful group to volunteer with.
