Camp Unalayee is the place our daughter found her soul. Like many campers before her, she found herself by spending time in the wilderness with a special group of friends. The unconditional acceptance and love given by the counselors year after year to hundreds of children and teens is what makes this worthy nonprofit a truly great nonprofit. At camp, our daughter learned to trust in herself and her abilities. Cooking over an open fire, backpacking to beautiful peaks in the Trinity Alps, and jumping in refreshing mountain lakes--these are what makes memories at Camp Unalayee. Through their campership program, they offer these amazing experiences to children from families from all income levels from city kids from San Francisco to poor rural kids.
