Review for Mata Amritanandamayi Math, Kerala, , India

Rating: 5 stars

Amma is an embodiment of all the great beings that have ever walked the earth - Jesus, Buddha. There are others who give and offer help and service, but Amma is exceptional. She gives not only 50% or 80% or 100% but even more than that. Her every living breath is to offer love to those poor in their heart, to offer homes, healthcare, education, and more to those poor in material resources. But she not only helps with hospitals, housing, schools, etc, she teaches deep values that have been long lost - love, compassion, kindness, patience, wisdom. Though many have said many beautiful things throughout the times, she has taught not only by speaking but by being the highest example of all the values that have been lost in a capitalist world. God is Love and Amma is the embodiment of God. A true gem in this world. Rita Panahi

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

many parts of the world as well as in the U.S. Meeting Amma has been transformational in my personal life - my heart has opened so much to love people like I never have and to realize that we are here as people to help and serve others, not just ourself.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

That Amma is truly selfless. That one person can bring about so much love in hundreds of thousands of people to want to devote their time to serve others whenever possible. She truly walks the talk of what Love truly means. What God truly means.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Amazingly warm, caring, truly wanting to mirror Amma herself

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Serve so, so many people in need across the planet, those hurt by earthquakes, storms and floods, and those simply lacking from birth from poor resources. It could help the children, elderly, sick as it already is, but increase its capacity even more.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every week

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2009

Role:  Volunteer & too many things to mention in a short sentence, but to name a few, help people become more green, create book on how to help the environment, help abused farm animals, help with injured wild animals, and much more.
