Review for Fidos For Freedom Inc, Laurel, MD, USA
In 2001, Fidos matched me with my first hearing dog, Pepe. Currently, I am on my 3rd hearing dog. Fidos was able to give me my independence back. I would never go out in public without someone with me because I was nervous and didn't understand what some people were saying. After all, I couldn't hear many sounds. Since Pepe, I have no issues going out because all my hearing dogs alert me to what I need to know. Thank you, Fidos!!!

I've been associated with Fidos since 1996. First as a volunteer and then as a client. I have 3 wonderful hearing dogs from this organization, Pepe, Moxie and Noah. I went on to be more involved as a way to thank the organization for giving me my independence back. I am no longer afraid of going out by myself, I was afraid I would not hear important things but my dogs have alerted me to everything I have needed to know. I went on the be Vice President of Fidos Board of Director and I am now the Executive Director. It brings me such pleasure to be able to help others to become independent and live fuller lives with their partners!

Fidos has enhanced my life by matching me with a great hearing dog. I no longer oversleep or burn food - my hearing dog alerts me to those and other sounds I can’t hear.

I have been a client at Fidos since the 90's (that is a long time). I have received two hearing dogs from this organization that has become my family. If it was not for this great non-profit I would not be living independent and would be afraid to do things on my own. I have been proud to represent them both locally and nationally.
