Review for Mata Amritanandamayi Math, Kerala, , India
I met Amma in the early summer of 2007 and moved into the first Canadian Ashram in the spring of 2008. Since then, we've made an organic vegetable garden, planted fruit trees, started a bee colony, conserved rainwater for the garden, and started Komputerz 4 Kidz, a program that refurbishes old computers and donates them back to families that cannot otherwise afford one for their kids. All of this through the guidance of Amma and the MAM. When she visited us here in Canada this past summer (2009) she asked that we do something to help the elderly, and we are currently starting up Volunteers for Seniors, which will match the elderly with programs that they cannot otherwise afford.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
the learning that it's more important to help those who are less fortunate than I am. It gives immense pleasure to join in with the programs from the MAM, and start them here in Canada as well.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
extremely friendly and helpful when asked questions about programs of interest to us here in Canada.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
feed and care for a lot more people than it already is taking care of.
How frequently have you been involved with the organization?
About every six months
When was your last experience with this nonprofit?
