Review for Gay Central Valley, Fresno, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

This is an local organization devoted to supporting the LGBTQ+ Community through education and action. The Central San Joaquin Valley of California is not an easy place to be, if you identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, or a myriad of other diverse profiles all falling under the category of HUMAN BEING. With a PhD in Clinical Psychology and MA in Early Childhood Education, I spent much of my career as a long-term, tenured faculty member for SCCCD where thousands of students went through my classes. It amazes how challenging even within the higher education institutions to accept true diversity openly rather than stereotypically reciting the "script of tolerance." Gay Central Valley has taken the challenge to support equality even when those basic civil right are deemed a threat. Gay Central Valley provides a support system for a large population of contributing members of this community and that takes courage. They fight for the civil rights of all people everyday.

Review for Free2Luv, Seattle, WA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

FREE2LUV is dedicated to keeping all youth at the forefront and making sure that whenever possible we provide a hand-up, instead of pushing them down. Our youth are vulnerable and need to see active adults working on their behalf every single day that inspire them to love themselves and others. Most of all people need support and courage to speak out loud when they see an injustice occur. FREE@LUV is consistent and provides access and attention to their social media campaign everyday spreading the word that equality is the only answer! That is really cool for all of us. Thanks FREE@LUV, we love you and appreciate the life-saving work you do on a daily basis!
