Medicine for Mali
Review for Aid for Africa, Inc, Chevy Chase, MD, USA
We have been pleased with the assistance that our small grass roots organization has received from Aid for Africa (AFA) over the past 6 years. Our small non-profit group, Medicine for Mali, works with about 11,000 people in nine different rural villages in Mali. With the help of Aid for Africa, we have been focusing on five areas: school education, microfinance, clean water, medical and public health education. AFA has the same ideas as we do in helping the people in the villages in Mali. Some of them are the following: increase the education for the girls, give the people a sense of accomplishment and resposibility with a microfinance loan, provide clean water with deep wells in order to improve health, provide medicine and medical supplies to the village clinics and finally to teach the people the importance of good health by educating them about proper nutrition and healthy practices. AFA has helped Medicine for Mali to make a big difference in this small part of the world. Dave Merschman , President , Medicine for Mali
