Review for SPARKS CENTER, Brooklyn, NY, USA
I first got involved with SPARKS a bit over a year ago when a friend introduced to me to its founders. I knew immediately that I wanted to get involved with this organization as I have a passion for mental health and I knew this would be a great place for me. SPARKS deals with all women's mental issues ranging from PMS/PMDD to PPD to Menopause and everything in between. I started off as the editor for SPARKS and did a little bit of writing as well. Eventually I became the Newsletter Coordinator for SPARKS - a very informative and educational newsletter that comes out every 6-8 weeks. Being involved with SPARKS, its coordinators and volunteers for over a year, I can personally attest to the devotion and commitment every volunteer exhibits. Every person who works for SPARKS is a volunteer and is involved solely to have the opportunity to help others. These volunteers give of their time and energy freely and wholeheartedly often working after hours just so that others can have a place where they feel supported and cared for with professionalism and expertise. SPARKS saves lives, rebuilds homes and renews hope. SPARKS has already saved thousands of families who reached out to them. I am proud to be on the SPARKS team of helping others and bringing life back to so many thousands of women and their families.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
committed to helping others, they are warm and caring, very supportive and believe their purpose here in this world is to give to others.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
spread a lot more awareness about Postpartum Depression - a topic which is practically taboo and not discussed. It can help many more families with therapy, psychiatrists, nutritionists...the list goes on...
