Review for Mata Amritanandamayi Math, Kerala, , India

Rating: 5 stars

In Eugene, Oregon, the MA Math has had a soup kitchen for several years to serve the homeless people a warm meal each week as well as a couple of other service projects for troubled kids and after the tsunami in Asia, they raised over $10,000 in Eugene (with the help of followers, students and disciples of Amma). Recently, at the First Place Family Shelter, their Mother's Kitchen project served hot meals several weeks. Around Christmas time, they served mentally challenged and homeless clients at the WhiteBird Clinic.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

India and the United States.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the love and compassion with which the volunteers work to serve the less fortunate

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

wonderful, sincere folks who wanted to practice spiritual values in their work and life

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

do the soup kitchen on a daily basis and build more shelters.

Ways to make it better...

if I had more time to volunteer with them on a regular, weekly basis.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every month

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2009
