NERN's philosophy and approach to equine issues is unique and creative. Their Low Cost Gelding Clinics are the best way to tackle the surge of unwanted horses in our country. Rescues are overflowing with horses and too many are going to auction and eventually to the slaughter houses in Mexico and Canada. By tackling this problem at the ground level, NERN is helping not on the horses but the horse owner who cannot afford the expensive surgical procedure to sterilize a horse. I applaud their foresight and energy. NERN is an outstanding nonprofit and has incredible ideas for expansion and benefiting the entire equine community. This is one group I am proud to support!
