I am very proud to be working for this organization as a registered nurse since Oct. 2004, starting as a per diem agency nurse. I knew right away that this was an extraordinary organization, and that I fit in very well with it, as on my very first day there, I was called upon to assist a client who was having symptoms of a heart attack. My fellow RN's who with me work in the Developmental Disabilities Division, watched me in action, and subsequently recommended me highly to the administrative and nursing supervision. I was hired directly by the organization some months later. The consumer recovered and got emergency care; he did not suffer a heart attack. I was gratified to be a part of his care team however. Years later, I was privileged to make a difference for life of a consumer under my care. The family continues to call me to this day to thank me at holidays and to remember what I did in preventing a dangerous procedure from taking place for their sister. FEGS has always noticed and rewarded their employees for making a difference. I know I will continue with them for a long time, because the fit is right for us to stay together.
