Review for Oldies But Goodies (OBG) Cocker Rescue, Arlington, VA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

We recently adopted our second OBG dog. We took in our first one (Milo), in 2001, and he crossed the Rainbow Bridge in 2011. I LOVE the Cocker temperament and contacted OBG as soon as we decided we were ready to adopt again. We have since taken in Beau, a mixed-Cocker. OBG is an exceptional rescue organization because they take in dogs that are in all types of condition and with all types of medical issues (including Cocker mixes) without consideration to age. They are one of the few rescues where folks can find an older, more settled dog ... which is what we prefer. They also are sticklers for making each and every dog 'the best that they can be' BEFORE adoption, by taking care of any medical issues PRIOR placing the dog with the adoptive family. Often the medical problems are VERY expensive (such as cataracts ). All medical procedures are paid for by OBG, with NO additional cost to the adoptive family. Whether a dog is healthy or 'healed' the adoption fee is the same! Many thanks to OBG for the wonderful work that they do! I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a new furry addition to their family.
