Review for Tony La Russa's Animal Rescue Foundation, Walnut Creek, CA, USA
ARF is so much more that an animal rescue foundation. ARF rescues and improves the lives of people too. Originally I hesitated volunteering at ARF, I though the didn't need me because they seemed to have so much going on and such huge fund drives. But, I gave them a chance and realized I wasted a lot of years on a misperception. The volunteer training is superb. The message is clear that the animals come first, but the volunteers are a close second and treated so. That they will save as many as they can each week. They will do all that is possible to match the right animal to the right family or person, so the animal will never have to go through this again. ARF also believes strongly in educating children and adults. ARF has such a beautiful heart, because it is run by beautiful people that care so much about animals and people.
