There was a contest channel 7 news, called "Pay it Forward". I wrote a story on Facebook and lucky me, I was able to pay it forward to a friend and her husband. Within the next weeks, Annie was also a winner. Which is where I first was introduced to Annie. Since the first time I saw Annie on television I knew there was something special about this woman. I was able to donate some water to the individuals and their pets over the summer, and met Annie face to face for the first time. She was extremely grateful for my small donation. I follow her on Facebook, she is completely dedicated to her cause. I also live in the High Desert and did not really pay much attention to the homeless situation we have in our community, until I met this angel on earth. Everyone has everyday challenges and she not only takes on her own, but many many other individuals and their pets. Everything is taken personally. Even when her FULL tank of gas was stolen, she made sure that the "homeless guardians" got the food for their pets. She even takes the time to get on Facebook, to reach out to her followers, to let them know what is going on, and how we can help her and the needy. Since meeting her I try to be a bit more sympathetic to homeless and just nicer to the average person. You really do not know what is going on in someone else life.
