Review for Life Center of Hernando, Hernando Beach, FL, USA
I truly believe the work being done at The Life Center of Hernando pleases God. TLC provides a home like atmosphere for young single moms who are pregnant or who have young children. They can stay for up to 3 years which gives them time to finish school and gain employability skills. They gain self confidence and a sense of self worth. They attend church and Life Skill Courses. They become whole people.
Where would they be without the TLC facility? Homeless no doubt. How sad that would be.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Expand to serve more young families who so desperately need help. Our 800 sq. ft. house with its 3 bedrooms serves 3 moms and 5 babies. We have had over 50 inquiries in the last 12 months from moms needing housing. We hate saying, "Sorry, no room at the inn."

Review for Life Center of Hernando, Hernando Beach, FL, USA
This is a grass root group of dedicated volunteers who work together to get done what must be done to provide shelter to young moms and babies who are at risk of becoming homeless. There are true stories about moms and infants living in the woods in Hernando County. The Life Center is passionate about offering a program that is life changing. Their new transitional home is the result of a community effort through businesses, faith based groups, other non-profits and concerned individuals. It is all about a community stepping up to help it's most vulnerable citizens.

Review for 211 Tampa Bay Cares Inc, Clearwater, FL, USA
Thanks for the opportunity to be a part of your great program. We all need to be aware of resources in our community and 211 certainly does that. Our non-profit, The LIfe Center, has plans to open our doors by the end of 2012. At that time we will be much better equipped to serve our community because 211 has already done so much to make local resources known. As requests for services come in, we plan to rely heavily on 211 in making referrals. Thanks for helping us to better prepare.
