My Nonprofit Reviews

Review for Shadow Cats Rescue, Round Rock, TX, USA
I am proud to support Shadow Cats. I have followed them for several years and seen their careful planning for their facility, the amazing spaces they provide for the cats in their care.
The endless loving attention to the needs of kitties who have tested positive for FeLeuk and FIV is impressive.
Photos, videos, and the use of webcams help make me feel proud to support Shadow Cats. And I remain comfortable supporting them from a half-country away from them.
I have learned a LOT from the other portion of their mission...managing community cats and if possible integrating them into someone's family. And the networking which is often needed to give a chance to a cat in need.
Through the information they provide through their Facebook page I gained enough confidence to adopt a former stray kitty from a local neighborhood. 17 months and my former stray is now a pushy love-bug.
Education is a huge part of their advocacy effort and that is not to be taken lightly!
Review for Mercer Island Eastside Orphans & Waifs (aka MEOW Cat Rescue), Kirkland, WA, USA
I found an excellent match for my household through MEOW Rescue when my household needed a 2nd cat. The love and patience this rescue gives to the animals in their care is impressive. When it is time to adopt new feline members of my family, MEOW is going to be near the top of the list. Marbles has been a source of humor and awww's for the 13 years we have been family. Keep it up MEOW!

Review for Summit Assistance Dogs, Anacortes, WA, USA
Volunteering with Summit Assistance Dogs has been challenging, filed with laughter and of course tears when it is time to send 'my' charge off to the next phase of training. But then I get to work with another pup....and eventually getting to know the staff, recipients and fellow volunteers and we share the joy of each new dog-handler partnership.
