Review for San Francisco Court Appointed Special Advocate Program, San Francisco, CA, USA
I have been involved with SFCASA for 16 years. I have been a child advocate, a board member and a donor. This organization serves the children in foster care who have suffered neglect and abuse. SFCASA has volunteers involved with over 250 children from ages infant thru 18. The volunteers spend time with these children assisting them with emotional issues, educational issues and above all consistent attention and caring.

Review for CASA of Sonoma County (Court Appointed Special Advocates of Sonoma County), Kenwood, CA, USA
I have been involved with CASA for 15 years both as a volunteer and a board member. Sonoma CASA serves children that otherwise would be neglected and continue to live with health and education needs not being addressed. They tend to be the invisible children in our community. Millie Gilson has been a model of leadership for both her staff and her volunteers. Sonoma County is not only large geographically but also has a high population of bi-lingual families that benefit greatly from CASA volunteers.
