After having been diagnosed with cancer, not once, but twice, I had a P.E.T. scan in 2009 that showed no evidence of disease. I live in the Bronx and my doctor is at Cancer Treatment Center of America in Tulsa. During my second diagnosis, my husband lost his job and was without work for 2½ years. He has been working for a year now and we are still playing catch-up. Since we are behind in our rent, there was no money for my flight for my appointments, which, incidentally are less frequent, Mercy Medical Airlift stepped in and has flown me for my necessary checkups three times. I jumped for joy each time I found out. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Mercy Medical Airlift and ALL your supporters. I really thought I would have to cancel my appointment this time, but you blessed me!!!
