I am a breast cancer survivor and now a volunteer. I call Spanish speaking patients all over the United States, referred to me by this organization and talk to them or listen to them as they express their fears and apprehensions. Sometimes they just need someone to listen to them as they try to cope with feelings of sadness and loss and trying to find ways to cope with their new situation. It is a privilege for me to "accompany" them in part of this journey and to witness their recovery as they gain new strength, faith and vision for the future. The staff at Cancer Hope Network are great to work with, and they have a genuine concern for the people they serve.
