Review for Oregon Environmental Council, Portland, OR, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Toxins in our everyday environment and consumer products is an issue I prioritize, and unlike a lot of environmental organizations, so does OEC! I respect and appreciate the work they do in this area, as well as the profound strides they've made over the years in other sustainable areas on behalf of Oregon and the Pacific Northwest. OEC's leadership is deeply respected and well earned. Thank you for all the fabulous work you do!

Review for Women of Wind Energy, Brooklyn, NY, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Women of Wind Energy was founded just seven years ago by a few women in the U.S. wind power field who recognized the need to raise awareness around the scarcity of females employed within the industry. Word of WoWE spread quickly when the first luncheon hosted 160 people, and since then has evolved into thousands of women and men alike (with a large majority being volunteers) expressing their voice in support of this worthwhile organization. Today, WoWE has over 30 chapters across the U.S. and Canada, with more than 2,000 people directly involved or supporting it from as far away as Europe. The impact WoWE has made in and outside the wind power industry is already immeasurable through its fellowships, mentoring program, annual Leadership Forum, awards luncheon and various other programs. WoWe truly lives its mission of promoting the education, professional development, and advancement of women in order to achieve a strong diversified workforce and support a robust renewable energy economy. Being involved with WoWE for the last seven years has been one of my proudest activities in life.
