Review for National Association for Uniformed Services 5535 Hempstead Way, Springfield, VA, USA
I retired from the U. S. Air Force in 1987 after 30 years of service as an officer. Since that time I have been involved with a number of retired military/veterans organizations which support both our active duty and retired military members as well as all military veterans. The National Association for Uniformed Services is one of those organizations for which I have served as a volunteer in a variety of leadership capacities. I can say unequivocally that there is no other such organization which does a better job of supporting the military member regardless of their rank or branch of mililtary service. I believe that NAUS played a more significant role in securing the government's enactment of the Tricare and Tricare for Life legislation than any of the other such organization. I have also served as a volunteer leader in other such organizations and consequently know what I am talking about. The word "for" in NAUS's name is constantly being demonstrated by the organization in effectively supporting our dedicated men and women who currently serve or have previously served in the military service.
