Review for Minnie’s Food Pantry, Plano, TX, USA
I had such an amazing time volunteering at Minnie's. I brought 18 First Year Dance Majors from SMU with me last Saturday and they were filled with delight. The most memorable moment for me was when Cheryl "Action" Jackson asked us to close our eyes and visualize the person we loved the most. Then she encouraged us to hold on to those thoughts and feelings as we opened our eyes and prepared to serve the community seeking assistance from Minnie's. She encouraged us to serve them with the same love and intention as we would serve the person we loved the most. Very profound... this is how we began our day of service... with unconditional love. Absolutely magical- the students were dancing and singing as they broke down boxes, unloaded the food truck and prepare meal boxes for those families in need. Seeing so many people display that level of compassion just made my heart smile. Thank you Minnie's!!!
