My Nonprofit Reviews

Review for City of Refuge Inc, Atlanta, GA, USA
I resided at COR for a year and received no help outside of a place for myself and my children to rest in the evenings. The onsite case managers were very rude, insensitive, and overall uncaring unless someone they needed to impress was around. Donations meant for families in need were taken home by staff or tossed out( select staff members made sure to allow families to go through donations... other staff members... not so much). The facilities were unclean consistently covered in bodily fluids, menstrual..., and feces. After being interviewed to be a client at COR I was happy because I thought I was would receive the assistance that I needed as long as I was willing to help myself as well. As far as job assistance: I obtained my own job by my own means, Childcare assistance I also obtained alone. Transportation I did on my own as well. Nothing is as promised at COR/ Eden Village. I believe that volunteers and donors should actually sit and privately converse with the residents there so that they can actually see where their money and donations are going.
