The mission of Proyecto Itzaes is so important and this non-profit is led by a very dedicated, passionate, and talented team. I have seen the impact of PI’s educational activities and resources in Yucatán villages firsthand. I am very pleased to be joining the board of this amazing organization!

Review for Society for Science, Washington, DC, USA

Rating: 5 stars

As a high school student in Louisiana, the Society for Science’s science competition gave me the confidence to purse a science degree in college - and to go on to receive a Ph.D. in my field. Now I am thrilled to support the Society’s work as a member of the National Leadership Council. This work is so important for enabling our next generation of scientists!

Review for Proyecto Itzaes, Palo Alto, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Proyecto Itzaes (PI) is an incredible organization run by a small group of extremely dedicated individuals. Over the past six years, I have been able to observe the work of PI from many different angles -- from seeing and participating in their efforts firsthand in Yucatan, Mexico, to witnessing the hard work, planning, and fundraising that goes into making it all happen. I have met many individuals that PI has served and can see that PI has played a very positive role in each of their lives. With the endless effort of PI staff and volunteers and some additional support, this organization will continue to grow and serve members of the community in Yucatan who really benefit from it. I highly recommend Proyecto Itzaes to anyone who is able to support, volunteer, or be served by this wonderful organization.

Review for The Peninsula College Fund, Milpitas, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

From my experience, the Peninsula College Fund is an exceptional organization for its mentors and students alike. I initially got involved with PCF at the beginning of 2012 as an application reader and interviewer for the scholarship program. After being incredibly inspired by the students being considered for awards, I applied to be a mentor for the program. Serving as a mentor to such a bright and dedicated college freshman has already been a great joy as well as a valuable learning experience. I am really looking forward to the next four years of working with PCF and being motivated by all that this non-profit does.
