My Nonprofit Reviews

Review for Spring Creek Horse Rescue, Durango, CO, USA
Shortly after voluneering for the first time at Spring Creek, I knew this was a special place. A place where abused and neglected horses are given a second chance. The daily chores and caring for these horses that all of us do who spend time there, are exactly what they need to thrive. The love and dedication of its Founder Diane, is what seperates this rescue from any other. Watching these horses get better is a very rewarding experience.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
While volunteering at Spring Creek, I watched several horses getting ready to be adopted into their new homes and become loved members of a new family.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
The only changes I would make to Spring Creek would be to help Diane obtain a much larger piece of land in order to help even more horses.

Did your volunteer experience have an effect on you? (teaching you a new skill, or introducing new friends, etc.)
My volunteering at Spring Creek effected me a great deal. I learned alot about the very basics of taking care of a horse. Meeting Diane was also a great experience. Diane is very much a horse woman, her knowledge of horses is endless. I hope to have horses of my own some day and I felt I was sent to Diane to be my mentor.
How did this volunteer experience make you feel?
I feel very proud to be a volunteer at Spring Creek and look forward to spending more time there in the future.
