Review for Mickaboo Companion Bird Rescue, San Jose, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I have volunteered with Mickaboo for several years. My assistance recently has been more financial support. I also have a foster failure in that I adopted my foster Gizzy. Can't say enough positive things about this organization. They go above and beyond to help companion birds.

Year after year this rescue excels in its mission. I am proud to be a volunteer and continue to help with our macaws. Photo is my Mickaboo adopted caique. I was a foster failure.

I volunteer with Mickaboo and have done so for several years. I can say from within that volunteers are dedicated to Mickaboo's mission and consistently go the extra mile to make a companion bird's life the best it can be. I've volunteered, fostered, and adopted and can say it is one of my most fulfilling activities. Photo of my adopted Mickaboo bird, Gizzy.

I have been a volunteer with Mickaboo for several years. I enjoy working on the macaw team and doing whatever I can to support this fantastic organization of volunteers. I am also truly grateful for my Gizzy, a female white belly caique that I adopted as a failed foster parront. Such joy (and yes, truth be told, at times some frustration) she brings to my life even when she is constantly moving and into everything.

The photo is Gizzy, my adopted white belly caique from Mickaboo. I have been involved with Mickaboo Companion Bird Rescue for a few years. It continues to be the safety net for so many injured, abandoned, and needing a new home birds. People in general don't realize there is a need for bird rescues but we have over 450 in foster homes in Northern CA. This is a great rescue and deserves the recognition.

I have been a volunteer for the past several years. I am continuing to be amazed by the commitment and service provided by the all volunteer staff. Plus its great getting to know my fellow volunteers as there are really some wonderful folks in the volunteer corps. The commitment to caring for and rehoming unwanted companion birds is so rewarding for me as the proud parront to four.

Companion Bird Rescue??!!?? Most people are unaware of the need for bird rescues. Mickaboo has over 300 birds in foster care looking for new homes. The organization's standards are top notch. I have been volunteering with them for the past couple of years and it has been such a rewarding experience. The people involved with the organization (all volunteers) are so devoted to the welfare and care of all the birds taken in and bird welfare in general.

I love all animals but my own flock is 4 parrots. Having learned about Mickaboo, Mickacoo, I immediately felt an incredible connection to the work they do. I now volunteer and seek every opportunity I can to contribute to this great group of volunteers who are so committed. I am proud to be a part of them.
