Review for One Heart Source, Los Angeles, CA, USA
I decided to volunteer with One Heart Source after months of research about volunteering opportunities in Sub-Saharan Africa. My criteria was a grassroots organization focused on education and immersion and creating a meaningful experience. I volunteered in 2012 in Tanzania, and the experience far surpassed my expectations. There is so much to learn from a clash of cultures, and ohs created so many engaging opportunities- at school, at my homestay, in my community. I am truly grateful for the experience to teach and learn.
