Review for Col. Potter Cairn Rescue Network, Romoland, CA, USA
This is one of the most organized and efficient non-profits I have ever worked with. They make every penny count, they support their volunteers 100% and they put heart and soul into saving the dogs brought into their network. I do several jobs to help, including hundreds of miles of transport every year. But my favorite is fostering. It has been a life changing experience for the dogs entrusted to my care as well as for me.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
Seeing the improvement in health and socialization in dogs brought in. Watching the change of a dog rescued from death's door to becoming a lively loving pet. Life changing indeed!

Encourage more to volunteer, especially to foster.

What one change could this group make that would improve your volunteer experience?
They are so supportive in every way I can't think of anything.
Did your volunteer experience have an effect on you? (teaching you a new skill, or introducing new friends, etc.)
I have much more confidence with dog health and behavior. Dealing with families having to give up their beloved canine members has honed my empathetic skills. Conversely, rescuing dogs from the depth-of-hell puppy mills have reinforced my diplomatic skills. And I haven't just gained new friends - CP people are family! I will volunteer for them as long as I am able.
How did this volunteer experience make you feel?
Grew my heart several sizes!
