Review for Gettysburg Foundation, Gettysburg, PA, USA
Gettysburg Foundation is a unique public private partnership with the National Park Service. I started to voluntee in Spring 2012 and have logged over 70 hours in various roles...from fence painting on the battlefield to docent at the historic Rupp House; and most recently acting as "shepherd" to a group of 12 other volunteers participating in the group's first Volunteer Service Vacation. Folks from CO, WA, MI, NY and PA worked/learned for 4 nites/ 5 days on the historic battlefield....which will celebrate its 150th anniversary in July 2013.

Great time as a "senior" working with young folks at the PVS headquarters in SW Montana. My work was data-input, fact-checking and envelope stuffing for two weeks....giving a little bit of help in this non-partisan effort to educate voters.
