I had known about Hazon for years before I finally did their New York ride, which was one of the most inspiring events I have been part of (at least in the last 10 years). The combination of pluralistic Jewish community, environmental education and physical challenge is an ususual one, but really amazing on all levels. But Hazon does so much more than the bike rides, and that is what is also immensely inspiring - it is an organization that is striving to move further, to challenge and inspire people in both large and small arenas. And ultimately to improve the world.
