The good people of the Western Justice Center extensively trained one of our high school teachers in conflict mediation and resolution and that has made all the difference -- from that one teacher to a small group of students who started up our conflict mediation program to 100 students who came last Saturday morning to be trained in the basics of mediation, we are changing our school culture with WJC's support. Our four lead student mediators attended last year's WJC Invitational and met student mediators from across Los Angeles (and got to work with professional mediators and high-profile judges), creating a foundation upon which we are building our conflict mediation program this year.
