Review for Free Truth Enterprise, Cinncinati, OH, USA

Rating: 1 stars

I worked as a volunteer serving food and was told I would be paid cash, after my work was completed for the night. The day before the scheduled work day, I was then told I wouldn't be paid from 1-2 weeks. A minor set back, but I was willing to do it anyway. The first day of work was a mess; unorganized, lots of rushing around, and plenty of misunderstanding. At the end of the day, I knew I was helping a fellow classmate out so I decided to stick it out for another day of work. The shift started out better than the last one, but there was still a few mishaps, but we managed. By the end of the night no one knew where our leader was, so we called her. None of our phone calls were answered so I walked around looking for her. By the time I found her and had told her we had been looking for her, she said she was incapable of completing the job she signed up to do in our work station, leaving the rest of us to do it. I headed back to our stand and everyone was gone. We all did our individual assignments that we had signed up for at the end of the night. That was all that was expected of us, just like the last time we worked. Now, a few days short of 3 weeks after working over 8 hours, I still have not been compensated, along with the other workers. And I have been told my pay will be cut in HALF. I couldn't believe a person could really do that to someone else who, after all, was doing THEM a favor in the first place. I do NOT recommended volunteering time or effort, just to be lied to in the end. Treated very badly, lied to, over all bad experience.
