Review for Florida Keys Society For The Prevention Of Cruelty To Animals, Key West, FL, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I adopted our pets from the SPCA. All of them are wonderful additions to our family. The staff there is really friendly, helpful, and informative.

On the flip side... When my son's hamsters had too many babies, the SPCA took them off of our hands and found good homes for them.

Review for Sun Valley Adaptive Sports Program, Inc., Ketchum, ID, USA

Rating: 5 stars

SVAS is a most incredible organization. I am an injured Combat Vet from the Iraq war. When I came back from the war, I was pretty much closeted and afraid to do the adventurous things I used to do, it just seemed impossible. SVAS took me, and my comrades, through a week where we didn't just ski - we were taught life changing strategies. They really care that we care about ourselves, and care about each other. So, not only did I go from bunny hill to actually going down a mountain; I went from being scared about my future life to embracing it. I am a MUCH better person because of SVAS.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

I took the confidence they gave me and started bike riding and scuba diving.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Make it available to more veterans.

My Veterans Administration Counseler.

What, if any, change in your life has this group encouraged?

To be more self confident, to not let fear stop me from trying. I am more active and more involved in the community. This year I am even the Cubmaster for the local Cub Scout Pack.

Role:  Client Served & I was able to find that I could do the things I did before my injuries. The 1:1 instructors and the whole caring staff definately changed my life for the better.
