My Nonprofit Reviews

Review for National Yiddish Book Center, Amherst, MA, USA
This is an amazing organization that has preserved and help spread Yiddish books and now Jewish culture. Although I have supported this organization for at least fifteen years, I moved one town away seven years ago and collaborate with them as a Jewish communal professional.
More Feedback
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
taking students and family to visit the Center, attend events, and read their materials.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
consider opening a branch in NYC and/or Israel.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
its mission, enthusiasm, the Center's design.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
great
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
implement the programs it envisioned when it expanded the Center (fully paid for but new educational wing is underused due to budget). Also, it could build a small branch in NYC and/or Israel.
Ways to make it better...
they had more multi-generational events.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
location, new mission now that books have been saved
One thing I'd also say is that...
Truly remarkable organization that saved a literature from destruction.

Review for JOFA, New York, NY, USA
Great organizations spreading Feminism and inclusion into the Jewish community. As a Rabbi at an all-women's college, I use their materials regularly and share them with my students.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
send speakers to many smaller communities and reach female Jewish college students (a relatively untapped resource for them).
Ways to make it better...
More of their events took place outside of New York/Boston, etc.
