Review for In2Books (ePals Foundation), Herndon, VA, USA
With In2Books I am partnered with an elementary school student. I read the same book she is reading in school. We then write to each to discuss the book and share some personal experiences. It is almost like having another grandchild! This is made an even better experience for me - it is paying it forward, as all of my children had writing partners in high school and elementary school. The enjoyed both levels and I believe they learned how think of others and see the world through different eyes. These life lessons are now imbedded in their lives.as a high school teacher my partners have been like a breath of the fresh air, so enthusiastic about reading and writing! In2Books asks so little and gives back so much. It is a joy to touch the life of one more child!
