My Nonprofit Reviews

Quilt lover
Review for Amador Valley Quilters Inc, Pleasanton, CA, USA
AVQ is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the history and art of quilting. I joined the guild to meet other people who quilt and to learn more. I became part of the Community Quilt program which has donated over 900 quilts per year lately to various homeless shelters, foster care, police, fire and hospital programs and other organizations who help people in need. This guild is a great way to meet others who are interested in quilting and helping out while giving back something to the community. You don't have to know how to sew to be a member. I love it because it allows me to use my math and artistic skills to provide something tangible to help others.

Review for Extended Day Child Care Center Inc, Dublin, CA, USA
Before and after school program and summer program for children from toddler to early middle school. Programs include many things no longer covered in the standard elementary school day, such as art and nap time. Program designed to include brothers and sisters of clients children when they come of age. Very worthwhile program that fills a significant need for the working parents of the Tri-Valley area. Our children "graduated" from the program many years ago and speak fondly to this day of their experiences.
