My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Hazon Inc, New York, NY, USA
I participated in my first Hazon Ride in 2006 when I was 14 years old. It was one of the most magical experiences of my life; I had found the organization which embodied all of the values on which I based my lifestyle. I interned in the office in the summer of 2008 and am now a Board Member. Working for and with Hazon has given me a glimpse of hope for the future state of our world and the knowledge that the determination needed to inspire and unite the Jewish community is present. Hazon has been at the forefront of the Jewish Food Movement, and it has been very exciting to watch the organization earn a respected place in the worlds of sustainable agriculture and environmental awareness.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
the feeling that I am part of something larger than myself, and yet I'm somehow responsible for making it successful. I have found a community that I can call my own at Hazon, and every time I am part of the organization, I know that I've returned home.
