Review for Wild Love Preserve, Kingston, WA, USA
Wild Love Preserve and Andrea Maki are unbelievable! Not only are they doing great work and saving Wild Horses, native ecosystems, but also American taxpayers - instead of spending 100's of thousands of dollars for decades warehousing wild horses in "concentration camps" in Oklahoma after forced helicopter roundups and cruel long-haul trucking, Andrea and her merry band of volunteers and community cooperators are turning what some bureaucrats saw as "trash" into a real "treasure".
Eco-tourism based on wild horse viewing is developing from the grass-roots in the economically depressed community of Challis, Idaho that has depended on resource extraction - timber, grazing, mining, water diversions - and is creating a sustainable local economy.
The BLM should take notice and learn - this alternative works... even in a "difficult" county like Custer County, Idaho. Andrea's got factions that had been legal warring for more than 30 years to pull together for one common cause - their wild horse heritage and developing a sustainable, local community.
What a winner!

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
give them the entire BLM budget for wild horse (mis)management and let them go for it.
